I have a very nice Summilux 35mm f1.4. It probably sat on the shelf for nearly all of it's life till two years ago. I have wanted it for forty years. Didn't need it. I don't like the glow really. Useful wide open in the dark. Love the size and weight.

To Light & Love ...
So much of the Dialogue between
Brusby, Godfrey and Myself has been deleted by a Mod or Stephen...
(all of mine were except my original post)
hence there can be no real understanding of thoughts and minds
Too bad, there were numerous interesting points between Us All.

The goggles rangefinder of my early second version black 35mm summilux lens appears to be off a bit after being professionally adjusted a couple of years ago. I would like to take the lens on a trip in mid Jan. and do not know anyone in the US, especially with shipping delays, who can adjust one that fast.
Do people attempt to adjust this themselves? I do have an M10 to use to test, but have not worked on something like this before. Is it a difficult task for one inexperienced?
I wouldn't do it myself. The prism in the goggles can be loose. This is not a do-it-yourself job. When it is off only a tiny bit, just leave it as it is until you've found a professional repairman who can re-adjust the prism. The prism should be glued (fixed) after being adjusted.

Photos I posted in response to an earlier request for more images were deleted 11-12-21 at 03:30 by me (brusby) thanks to being shown the error of my tasteless ways by Helen Hill, Godfrey and DWF, and after much of their criticism was deleted by someone else. I'd have to be a masochist to continue to post photos here.

Boo!
I thought they had as much right as any other set of images in this thread started by Ned, way back.
Very easy on the eye, and in no way would I describe them as being pornographic. They were just displaying the beauty of the female form for which we need to thank God!

For the record, neither Helen, Godfrey or I denied the right for Brusby to post his nudes, or suggested that they be taken down. Helen's initial response (the one not removed), a nice touché, made me laugh!

Very true – and conveniently misleading. In a pit of vipers the intended victim is never told to leave. He's just injected with more and more venom until he finally gets the message.

Oh, is this an example of the type of artistic merit you, Helen and DWF found lacking in my photos?

You mean the "persecution complex" that motivated the moderator to remove many of your posts? Are you suggesting it's my imagination and your posts were removed for no legitimate reason? You're delusional.

Thank you for showing us the meaning of real art. Who would have imagined it could be embodied in a seemingly plain brick wall.

Thank you for illustrating my point Godfrey. You criticize my work because you claim it lacked artistic merit. And now in a flurry of activity which seems calculated to obfuscate, you're flooding this thread with nothing more than photographic tripe and detritus. Why so hypocritical? Why don't you apply the same standards to your own work you criticize others for lacking???
