Summilux 35mm pre-asph photos

This thread helped influence me to get a copy of my own. I have been using an asph version for a number of years and love it to bits, but have been intrigued by the pre-asph signature.

Leica MP : 35mm Summilux pre-asph : Eastman XX

 
The 35mm Summilux is truly an amazing lens. Its ability to be used in a wide variety of lighting situations, small size, simple construction, useful focal length, and unmistakable signature have kept it stuck to my M4 for the past six months, and likely the next six as well.
 
A nice lens indeed Erik. Serial number is 2347948 (1969).
I bought it a couple of weeks ago from Maitani and shot a couple of rolls using it "naked" (no hood, no filter). I am pretty happy with the results so far.
 
Wow....what a difference, LOL!

It just goes to show you that it is really not about the gear but the photographer, for the most part, the photos in this thread completely blow away the one on the Asph version.

Nice stuff!
