Too many 50mms
I've only tried the noctilux and the summilux-asph on a Leica Walkabout sponsored by one of the dealers here. The noctilux is quite big and heavy. For me, it's quite cumbersome for street photography. The image quality is somewhat different - sort of matte-looking (attached). The summilux-asph is very sharp and the weight and size are about right for me.
However, what I do enjoy using now is the 35mm lux-asph. It's quite small and unobtrusive for street photography. I can shoot at lower shutter speeds than with a 50mm.
