I cannot for the life of me get the Super Control Panel to display on my new OM-D. I have tried everything mentioned in scores of discussions of this on the web, but I am obviously missing something. I do have Live SCP = ON for P/A/S/M in Control Settings. Would appreciate any hints. -- James

Press "info" several times and it should scroll through the screen options, one of which is the control panel.
To use it hit OK, moved to desired command, hit OK again to change that feature.

Thanks to both of you. I was erroneously expecting it to come up with the Menu button. I now get the SCP with a combination of the OK and Info buttons. Man, configuring this thing is a bear!

To get the 'Super Control' panel with just a press of the OK button you first need to enable it in the menu, it isn't 'on' by default which is a bit stupid of Olympus.

"Go to the Cog D Men (Disp/PC), find Control Settings, and enable SCP for P/A/S/M."

I avoid the super control panel. I've learned to dive in and out of the menu system fairly quickly and actually prefer it.

The OM-D is a great camera, but it definitely has the complexity drawback that digital cameras are (in)famous for, and the incomplete and cryptic user manual certainly doesn't help in this regard.

Since we seem to have a bunch of savvy OM-D users here, does anyone know if there is a way to get the SCP to stay visible a little longer? I'll get used to where the various items are after a while, but right now the SCP disappears before I get to look around. Thanks.

On mine, if I first press "info" and then press "ok" it stays on for about 12 seconds or so.

I presume the reason it turns back off is so that if it is accidentally pressed it doesn't just run the battery down while attempting to display forever.
