swapping out backs

Has anyone tried this on a cross model basis? I would really love to swap out my back on my M7 for the M6 variety....since the M7's iso dial feels cheap to my hands.

It is easily done, but it won't work. The M7 back has the DX code option on the ISO dial - the M6 does not. If memory serves, if switched out the cameras will operate, but will give false meter readings.
