As a panorama and 3D-specialist i would like to know what is real possible with NEX.
1 .I suspect inlens-stabilisation is needed of shooting under low-light-level situations. otherwise the longest set 1/60 would lead to blurry shots. can you confirm this?
2. Do we need Nex-lenses to shoot sweep-pans and 3D-Sweeps? Are adapted lenses not working?

1. My (firmware v03) NEX3 with 16mm attached always says that the shutter speed is 1/500 during sweep panorama. Aperture and ISO are apparently set to auto to match that speed as far as possible. When the light is low, it's very difficult to get a panorama, as the camera doesn't seem to be able to match the frames anymore. Below a certain light level it just reports that I sweep either too quickly or too slow.. no matter how much I try to get the sweep speed just right..
2. Don't know, haven't tried..

I haven't found a way to do pano/HDR/3D with a adapted lens... I'm guessing because the camera needs control of the aperture

I'm able to do it with the Sony a-mount adapter, but only at 1/500. Although, when I have used the pano in lower light with the kit lens, it still ends up a tad blurry, so 1/60 is not ideal.
Given the reduced resolution and stitching errors, I figure that there's no need to use anything other than the kit lens with the pano modes, but it might be convenient for when you don't want to swap lenses...But I don't think I've used adapted lenses in these modes except to see if it worked.
Sounds like most other adapters won't work.

I have done normal sweep panoramas with an adapted Zeiss 50 ZM with no problems other than getting the sweep speed right.
It didn't work in low light. It kept stopping, probably because there isn't enough contrast to determine the stitching, or it's the blurring.
I think 3D and true HDR are disabled when an adaptor is used as you have to set the camera to "no lens".
