Australia/New Zealand Sydney Australia RFF Meet Up

Great to see some more responses. I'll just throw this out there and see how we go... how about Saturday 24th or Sunday 25th in the city somewhere?

I'll be traveling from Kiama to Sydney on the 26th for a family gathering anyway, so it would be great (and convenient for me) if I had an excuse to spend the long weekend up there.
 
either is looking Ok for me at this stage.. I have a suggestion to meet at the Jet Bar at the QVB. Convenient to Town Hall for train-people, good coffee, outdoor seating and best of all a good street shooting location, right from your coffee table. Also, Kinokuniya bookstore upstairs in the Galleries Victoria directly opposite has possibly the best photography book selection in Australia. Although cheaper to buy online!

Of course I'm open to other suggestions.
 
Jon and Lynn, 24th any time works for me, and the 25th too, except not between 11.00 am and 2.30 pm. It's a long weekend so we can all relax I hope.
Lynn's suggestion to meet at the QVB sounds good to me but I'm easy.

Here's a vote for 10 am from me. Or earlier. Otherwise early afternoon. I have to get away by 5.00 pm.
 
I am currently negotiating with my partner. I will have to be a really good boy and promise not to visit Rob&Marc at expedition kayaks.

Wow, that's great skibeer. Tell your partner we'll keep you on the straight and narrow (even if we have no idea how to do that), if it will swing the deal. If Seajak was coming he'd probably offer to build you a custom kayak. Pity he's in S E Asia at the moment.
 
My being in Sydney or not depends on my wife's ability to get some time off, but if I'm about, then I'm up for it! Hope to see you on the 24th. 10am at Jet Bar in the QVB!
 
Well, depending on whether I get shifted or not at work, I may be tempted to join and finally meet some people from RFF. If not, I might post on here to see where you lot are during my lunch break since I work around the QVB/Pitt Street area anyway (the joys of casual retail)
 
That would be great, Ong. Hope you can join us. Maybe PM us your email or phone number in case we move on before your lunch break?
 
That would be nice if you can join us Ong, Peter's suggestion is good because we may not have internet access, it would be easier to email/phone.
