Australia/New Zealand Sydney Australia RFF Meet Up

Bump from me too. 10 am tomorrow at Jet Cafe/bar, ground floor Queen Victoria Building, south end. I hope Ong, Skibeer and Xavoy can make it too.

So, I've yet to hear anything about being shifted suddenly tomorrow, so at best I'll be hopefully getting there around 10:30 ish and hoping everyone will just be chilling with coffee still.

I'll be there at 10am with the intention of getting a bite to eat along with a coffee. So it's a safe bet we'll still be there at 10.30am, if only because I'm holding everyone up!

On the off chance I miss you guys (due to... Shi**y... I mean Sydney Trains) should I swap contact numbers with someone?

PM sent.

Not that it means much, 'cause I don't really know anyone. Still, a Leica carried might be a bit of a giveaway...

...Mike

I'll be the one sitting on the pavement with the begging bowl. Easy to spot. If I get there early enough, I might have enough to pay for my coffee.

All jokes aside, look for short bloke in white t-shirt with hat and cheap messenger bag. Looking forward to coffee and company!

Hey guys, sorry I'm not there with you :( Just got up after a terrible nights sleep. These hot summer nights kill me... Will catch you all next time!

...and here's the money shot :)

hi all

Not often you see so many M's on the street, but good to bump into the group in The Rocks. I was the guy with the M7 at The Orient when you walked past. Nice to meet and catch up with you , and will try and make the next meet up for sure.

cheers
Andrew

Great to have met everyone today (and put a face and name to a username). Sorry for coming late and having to bail once the shooting began, but I'm sure I'll probably bump into you in the city another time (or another RFF meetup)

Jon, hope you enjoy your little holiday back here and have a safe trip back to Japan.

Hi Andrew,

Yeah, quite a few M's were around. Nice to meet you too. Will have to make this more often. Don't forget to try some home developing. Happy to help out there.

Cheers - John

Looks like you guys had a solid attendance. I didn't chime in earlier because I knew I had to work. Maybe next time. BTW, where did you get to once you started walking about? Did it feel awkward or comfortable shooting with a bunch of other people? I mean, most of us do our street photography on our own so it could feel odd with ten other photographers out there. Just interested that's all. I've never done a street photo workshop or large group photo-walk so apart from the occasional friend who might tag along I don't really know what its like to shoot among a group of like minded photographers whom enjoy a similar style and genre.

Cheers John

Have been googling around since home to see what exactly I need to develop at home. Still looking and pretty sure will have questions about getting the right stuff.

Nice to meet you too, Andrew, and so randomly in our post-coffee walk. Great to meet all you other guys too, and a pity others couldn't make it. We really must do this more often, even if we don't have a visiting guest of honour from Japan!
Chris, I'm sorry too that we didn't get to see you when you were in Sydney. I noticed your shots posted around December of Sydney sights.

Paolo, I'm like you in that I'm not one for going around in a gang of streettogs (as E Kim likes to say) but I just tag along for the yarning and have my camera out at the same time. It's good fun when you've got at least some things in common.

Yes, it was pretty low key as we managed to find our way down to The Rocks, each person pausing to do what ever they wanted or in Mike and Peter's case, have a smoke :) Mostly chatting and surprisingly not only about cameras. I know politics got a fair run!

I manged to take a roll of 120 by the time we arrived but I wouldn't call it a photo walk' by any stretch.
