What's the best/ your favorite film for my old Canon lenses? I'm mostly a daylight (smoggy sky), yellow filter, streetshooter--sometimes hit/ sometimes miss.
Thanks in advance, folks.

nightfly Personally HP5 always looks dull and grey to me. I heard someone remark that HP5 makes everyplace look like England and that has certainly been my experience. [/QUOTE said:That explains why my pictures look that way. I'd always wondered. 🙂

You can develop it in just about anything, I have used instant coffee, it's bit grainy but not what I would call a bad grain though. T-Max is a good film but a bit tricky to develop. I have souped T-max in Diafine before and the results are not bad but not as good as Tri-X. If you want to work with a T grain film look at shooting Ilford Delta. I like the way Delta looks in Diafine and it's a very sharp film.
The fun part is Tri-X at 1000 with my GSN. Souping it in Diafine it makes a great low light / street combo.

I'd rather use a 400 film that allows you to shott at 250/11
