T3 Gadget Awards. I don't know who they are or what they're about, but here's there criteria:

"Regardless of whether the camera is compact, bridge or DSLR, it will have to impress us with its picture quality, features, innovative tech and value." (Bridge??)

Anyway, the list of cameras is interesting--I'm lusting after several of the them. Not sure how I'll vote, and it would be interesting to see how we all vote.

Use the same criteria and Choose One.

BTW, found out about the T3 awards on Facebook. I'm a "Friend" of Leica and they announced that the X1 had been nominated.

2010 ain't over yet, and it's a photokina year, so this seems slightly premature to me.

I voted X1. Not because I especially want one, but because I don't want any of the others at all.

Cheers,

R.

Seems like a pretty safe bet that most (if not all) 2010 models have been announced and released. Won't most announcements at this point (June and beyond) see release in 2011 and be considered 2011 models?

I voted for the Canon 7D, it is an excellent camera and I think a little bit under rated. I will admit that this is a strange poll to have on the RFF, you know, because of all the people that would die if they were to use a DSLR

7d is a smoking camera. tried one out today. definitely should be on the list. i am not sure about under-rated though as most folks i talk to seem to think it's a brilliant machine.

s90 is also a real superb image producer.

i really want to like the x1. if they could somehow integrate a superb manual focus interface... i'd be packin' a couple.

the gf-1 is quite a powerful machine when you think of what it can do. the video ability in such a small and competent package is a winning combo. i would have to hedge my bets on the gf-1 (or ep-1) for innovation that is actually quite useable.

Haven't handled any but the S90, but didn't handle it enough to make a judgement. Liked it a good deal from a handling standpoint.

But, if it's all the same to you guys, I'd sooner be loading one up in one of my own numbers.

Not normally, no. Cameras tend not to have 'model years' like cars. Indeed, I'm not sure cars have 'model years' outside the United States.

No E-P1 option, but then again had I not already bought an E-P1 when it was announced, I probably would have gone for the Ricoh because I love my GR Digital.
