I ended up with a TAC Deluxe rangefinder kit as part of a 55/1.4 Super Takumar purchase. I know next to nothing of the TAC rd (Trans-American Import Export Co.) Could someone point me to any info sources about them?

According to McKeowns catalogue (1996) The TAC deluxe was manufactured by the Yamato Koki Kogyo Co. Ltd. The camera price 1996: 45-60$.
McKeown calls the TAC a typical Yamato camera, "badge-engineered" for the Trans-American Import Export Co.
