Having just moved to NY from CA this past summer, I finally made a trip to "Mecca" in person a couple weeks ago. Sadly, the purpose wasn't even photographic (wife was trying Swarovski birding binoculars), but it was quite a fascinating hour -- those elevated tracks with the merchandise flying around are pretty cool!
