We often see at RFF threads on traveling. I just saw on bbc.com a travel quiz that measures what type of a traveler you are. Do you choose first taking care of photography or .... ?

I took the quiz, and then I was told that "I am " : The connector
You’ve been called a “social butterfly” so often, you expect to sprout wings. You’re fascinated by the life stories of those you encounter, and language is hardly ever a barrier. Thanks to your natural extroversion and empathy, you connect with new cultures on a truly human level. Forget collecting passport stamps; you collect new friends.

Typical - the British Broadcorping Castration doesn't see fit to allow access to the quiz if you actually live in Britain. Sorry, can't take the quiz here.......!!

"The Documentarian". For you, the only thing better than seeing a jaw-dropping view is capturing it forever. You thrive on finding the beauty around you, and showcasing it in stunning, unique ways. After all, there’s a big, beautiful world out there. It’s practically your duty to capture as much of it as possible!

Sounds about right, since I answered "camera" every single time it was an option. Not sure any of my photography could be classed as showcasing things in "stunning, unique ways" though.

This has been a BBC blasting feedback!
Oh well. All I wanted is a peek into how people prioritize in traveling.

Aaahh well all you had to do was ask
I'm not an adrenaline junkie but I travel for "adventure", cruises, all-inclusive packages, lounging on a beach or expensive meals are not in my travel plans.
I usually go with minimal planning (but lots of research) and light bags, I like to get lost in places, I find remote places very attractive. I hate staying in hotels and being around very "touristy" travellers, so I usually stay where I can meet local people.
Being an introvert I'm also interested in things like local art and places to be alone so I can think, I like long drives and obviously photography

The documentarian - but I had to mentally replace DSLR with film camera, SD chip with TMAx and labeling files with developing film

Do we lie on the quiz if we end up not being a documentarian?

Documentarian as well, which sounds about right... I think a lot of RFF regulars would be categorized by this quiz as documentarians.

My wife must be responsible for not allowing me to turn into a "documentarian".
I get allowances for minutes at a time of photography. This forces me to sit back and to enjoy the trip. Of course, I cheat! So maybe I am a documentarian in disguise?

Exactly. Active explorer. Photography is never my main reason for travel. I travel with family/friends/for work.
And, I'd never pay for excess baggage, that automatically means checked baggage, which I try to avoid at all costs.
