Anyone have an idea on how to separate the two lenses due to the grease hardening. I tried light heat to no availability. Last time I heated the Agfa record lenses up in my toaster and ruined the coating. I was able to separate them with the heat, but too much isn't good. This time I don't want to do the same thing.

Earlier this year I have to clean one one the Billy Record I inherited...
Nothing unusual in terms of construction and problem is common.
This time after applying of WD-40 and waiting overnight I placed it at the electrical kitchen stove top part which is called as warm zone. Kept it where for some time and while the thing was still hot I unscrewed it.

I had same problems with e.g. the Helicoid on my Super Isolette. That Bayer grease is just terrible !
As said before, take your time and let the chemicals and some mild heat treatments do their work. Also use rubber tools to assist.
