Thanks for relaying the update, Gary. Counting the hours until peaking upgrade, and for me, nine months down, six more to go for the 56...

I really hope fuji or zeiss releases an X mount 135mm or 200mm equivalent prime. Preferably both.

Makes me even happier with my purchase of the X-e1 and sets a needed precedent for others to follow.
Enough with the yearly hardware updates!

Added a second consumer grade zoom to the lens roadmap

Looks like they are going to pair a long zoom to the 16-55 by adding another xc grade zoom. 55-230

A cheaper zoom for the cheaper cameras like the xm and the not announced rumored non-xtran sensor body.

I bought my 50mm 1,2 already in 1974... "focus peaking was in my camera in 1956...
(leica m3 with canon 50mm 1,2 ) you just line the superimposing images, if the partial image is to the left, it is rear focus, if to the right it is close focus. If the subject is moving towards you, you just have it close focus and all will be okay...)

I have long been a fan. Recall the Nikon DSLR based cameras they put out a few years ago - with an innovative sensor with expanded dynamic range. No other company tries quite so hard.

The best camera is one that still works!
Now if a little bit of this astuteness would just rub off on Sigma ......

I used to be in a bind, my X-e1 worked better with wides, I love how it handles but just couldn't shoot street with something that lacks peaking. Using the magnification aid means losing most shots. Hopefully a few updates later I'll have peaking as good as the NEX-7, and finally leave the Sony to portraits.

Yes, going by Fuji's fw updates so far focus peaking will hopefully get close to that of the NEX-7 which as you say is the benchmark really.
Far too weak in this fw update and no choice of colours is a disappointment but knowing Fuji they are already on it ..... I hope.

They already said they were going to add different colors to peaking in a future update.
