A last photo of 2010/First photo of 2011 project? I'm thinking that I could find a nice well lit location. Set the Canon OneDigiBeast to high speed multiframe mode. Press the shutter release with about 5 seconds left in 2010. Fill the buffer and have last/first photos on the card. 😱 😉 😀 😎

Is this a plan? End 2010 and begin 2011 with no gear talk. Only gear USE!

The only relevant gear I will use tomorrow evening is a beer bottle opener. 😎

Get photos of the proper application of the beer bottle opener? Perhaps you have a collection of openers that need documenting?

I myself am giving serious thought to hanging out at a local truck stop. See how folks celebrate the New Year while working and/or traveling.

Daycare is having a sleepover NYE. Seems like a great place for kid's first night away from home. She knows and likes everyone, is comfortable there, sees them 50 hours a week, and they're equipped for everything. So, first New Year's out for us in three years (stayed home the year the wife was pregnant). I'll manage to work in bottle openers and cameras, I'm sure.

I may well use the FED-2 to open my bottles.

The last few years, I've made sure to have a camera in my pocket to snap a pic of my dear wife at about the stroke of midnight wherever we are on New Years. The past two years, we've emerged from one of favorite restaurants just in time to see fireworks by lit by the local authorities. As to gear: one year the cellphone cam (I still don't have a smartphone), was sufficient.

I live way out in the woods. The truck stop is the nearest place that stays open after dark. 😱 😀
I reckon that will be the biggest party I can find. 😎
