Talk to me about M Mount/Srew Mount adapters. Please?

What's to say? They work. I have had equal success with Leica brand ones and off-brand versions. With Leicas, you need to get one that will bring up the correct framelines for your lens. On C/V cameras, the framelines are manually selected, so this isn't an issue.

Most of my lenses are screw mount lenses. I use Cosina Voigtlander M-mount adapters without complaint. Focus is right-on if I do my part and they bring up the expected framelines on both my Leica M2 and Zeiss Ikon.

You do have to be aware, though, that when using an adaptor on a Leica, you have to have the proper one to bring up the correct framelines. A generic adaptor can be had for $20, but you'll get what you get for framelines, probably 35mm lines.

Hey Benjamin, I see you're from VT?
Indeed. I work in Burlington. There are several other Vermonters on the forum. Sean Reid lives south of me. Ed Schwartzreich and I have had coffee in Burlington a few times. Which Vermont hills do you hail from?

This is good information.
I was thinking of the adapter from cameraquest.com.

I have his on all my lenses [21,25,28,35,50,75,90]

when I use my R2 and they all work great [they do what they are supposed to do and nothing else😀 ]

Last week I bought a Voigtlander 28/90 adapter at the Australian distributors shop, for using my Voigtlander screw mount lenses on a R2. It refused to click in properly, as in the locking bar on the camera body refused to click smartly into the corresponding slot. I took it back with camera and the man said it's the second specimen exhibiting this fault he has encountered. A good specimen was duly exchanged and proved to be trouble-free.

So it is possible even for Voigtlander to let a couple of less-good specimen to slip out of the factory door; in that case I would be quite wary of those from lesser makes without that guarantee.
