So i won a taron aux len kit of a local auction website in NZ. It comes with a wide angle and a tele lens and the viewfinder. The auction said 46mm thread size. I won the auction straight away and didnt read the thread size properly thinking these could fit on my leica IIIc. They are in great condition but i cannot find any information on the web about them or what cameras they fit on. Can anyone help me out? Oh and i also managed to get the lens hood as well for it

PS This is a great kit....if i cant find a suitable camera for it id be willing to swap it for something i could use....maybe some russian screwmount lens? (wishful thinking but a tele lens would be nice) or some yashica TLR accessories

This kind of product is still produced to fit digital point 'n shoot cameras; my wife has a set for her Nikon 990. They don't do much for the sharpness, and the wide adapter adds a bucketful of barrel distortion. In years past, these were available for various fixed-lens leaf-shutter RF cameras ... My dad got them for his Petri 7s in the early 1960s, and the set included an external viewfinder showing both the wide and tele fields of view. You might Google "Taron camera" and find if your set fits a Taron camera, as that name has been used for a long time.

These are supplementary lenses for Taron rangefinder cameras. I had a Taron PR (complete with the kit described) back in the early 1960s. The camera lens was a fixed 45mm Taronar which had a 46mm front thread onto which the supplementry lens screwed. The Taronar was a decent performer - unfortunately the supplementaries weren't so good!! Taron did several cameras with the same lens, there was a VR plus others.
