No problems here with iMac and MacBook, both running Safari under Snow Leopard OSX.

I have had this problem all along. I will be typing a post for example and when I'm done and hit Submit, I'm told I am logged out and have to log back in. I am using Vista with Firefox(up to date).

I am suffering from this problem now. I've tried different browsers and different computers but I still keep getting kicked out of RFF after 10-15mins. This annoyance started about a week ago.
Any suggestions for work-arounds or fixes?

Check the "remember me".
If using newer Explorer, try "Compatibility Mode".
Also check the security settings for the browser, set something specific for RFF.
I had some problems using my wife's WIN7 machine. With the settings she put on it, Clicking "remember me" when signing in solved the sign-out every 15minutes or so, but I still need to sign in when initiating an explorer session.

Tried the "remember me" setting with no success.
I use macs so I will try an XP box with explorer and see if that is any different.

Working fine with the Mac and either Safari or Firefox and it has been like this for months.

I stay signed on and don't sign off so I have not experienced your problem. I do often have difficulty going to a previous page.

I have been signed in on the XP-Explorer box for the past hour, it seems that my problems are mac related. Now I have to decide if my love of RFF is greater than my disdain for MS Windows.....
I am thinking that there is some browser synching malarkay thats causing the problem. Its the only common factor between my macbook and macpro.
Suggestions always welcomed
Edit: I just discovered that I don't get kicked off when using Firefox on the mac, strange stuff

just switch javascript off for a while and see how it performs. I doubt you will be able to post but if you see a major improvement in performance then at least you can be sure its a javscript problem which usually means memory leak.
I run IE6 (and Firefox sometimes) and most of the time its fine and its known for memory leaks. I'm not getting problems currently.
So it could be also be an internet routing problem from time to time. Run tracert from command prompt when things get slow to see if there is blockage somewhere on route to RFF.

Now using Firefox on the mac & have no problems, interestingly RFF does render a little differently using Firefox. Will investigate further

Mine works fine unless I run a scan to remove spyware the then I usually have to sign again. Signing in is no problem since my browser remembers my user name and password. Have Windows XP and Google Chrome for a browser. Jim

Just to add a little oddness to this thread: on my work computer--running XP and using Firefox--when I have signed out, the next time I come back to RFf, I am signed in. Without having to do anything more than open the page.

So I tried again with Safari & it threw me out after a few mins, I then opened Firefox. Firefox asked if I wanted to import cookies from Safari, I said yes. Went to RFF in Firefox to find that I was already signed in.
My take on this is that it is a browser problem, for some reason both Webkit browsers are treating the RFF cookie differently from Firefox.
Time to dig into javascript.....
Rob, your little oddness would also be cookie related. The cookies aren't being cleared when you sign out/sign in.
