I was looking for an inexpensive portrait lens for my OM-2n. I noticed teleconverters going at reasonable prices. I already have a 50/1.4. Is it advisable to go down that route? If so, what's a good one?
Ah, but the Zuiko 85 f2 is such a sweet small lens and PERFECT for head and shoulder portraits. The Queen of England's photographer uses this lens and I think an OM-1. (always at f2.8) It's still a bit expensive, however.

I've always been wary of teleconverters. Cheap ones are little better than reground milk bottle bottoms and decent quality ones are virtually the same price as a prime lens anyway.
My tip is to look around eBay for a Zuiko 100/2.8, it's the next best thing to a 85/2 and a heck of a lot cheaper!
