actually i use my teleconvertor as the extension ring. i just cant think of a situation to use this particular one.

extension rings don't have glass elements in them, they are that: extensions. teleconverters do. Do you take the elements out?

of course not. anyway this is about when to use them in screw mount cameras.

The focusing is rangefinder coupled with this teleconverter, so I can't see why you couldn't use it with good results.

As a teleconverter, that is, not for macro shots.

I have a Russian one - apparently they have good optics, but i have not tried it yet. May do so in France during the next couple of weeks. The only problem with mine is that it does not like infinity locks - they foul on it and prevent 100% infinity focus.
