To me, this is one beautiful camera. I can find info on the specs, but nothing about if it is any good to make photos with. Any info would be appreciated. Any idea on the price would be cool too.
Thanks all.

Can't help you with this, but the Kowa Six (6X6)
that I had for years, had terrific glass.

What Rick said. I, too, had a Kowa 6 for years and its 85/2.8 was a stunner.

I like the idea that this camera makes a click sound when you move the focus ring past 1m or 3m so you know what distance your ad without checking the lens. At least that's what I'm reading.
It was a cheap camera but from the few examples I've seen of the lens, it's quite good - very vintage. Albeit at a weird f3.2
take a look at http://neverbb.exblog.jp/tags/KOWA+SW/
It comes in a black finish too.
Apparently it was inspired by the Olympus Wide, but Kowa wanted to make something wider.
Oh wow! I just found prices on japanese sites. You're looking at $500-900USD if the Japanese market is anything to go by. haha

How do you adjust the aperture, or does it do that automatically? Also, what's that round chrome plated thing above the lens? Is it the front of the viewfinder?
Price for what seems to be a point and shoot (or almost a P&S) seems outrageous.

Aperture and shutter rings are both located on the lens as well as focus, it's all tightly packed in from the looks of it.
And yeah that thing on the front is the viewfinder. It's 0.4x magnification.
I'd imagine the price reflects cult status.
Grrr... too high for me. Thanks for the help Neare.
