Tell me honestly...

Thanks Joe. The RF patch was described as better than expected from cameras of this age. I hope it measures up to the one of my 7. The curtains have wrinkles but they don't seem to compromise function. I'm glad to hear you all find it a reasonable price. Let's hope is as nice as described. I'll let you know when I get it. Regards, Huub

Look at your cameras make me feel really bad. I still have 9 years to catch up with you but I have to get a divorce first.

Most "experts" (not one of them myself) regard it as the best of the LTM cameras. You can end your Leica-envy, be satisfied and just use it. I have two and I love 'em. Very little to go wrong, but get a CLA.

BTW--anything under $300 is a damn good price.

I understood that the Canon P was the poor man's VI-T or VI-L
Honestly? I think whoever told you that was confusing the Canonet QL cameras with the P (Populaire). The Canonet rangefinders have very good lenses, and have only recently gone up in price, but still hundreds of dollars cheaper than any other Canon rangefinder available in the used market.

The Canon 50 f/1.2 is said, otoh, to be the poor man's (or, is it "financially-challenged human-american"?) Noctilux. That is a lens not to be missed (I own one) --- err, I mean, it's so soft it can't compare to the sharpness of a Planar. blech blech blech 😉

If she is in good condition IMHO, you got a bargin. I think the P was the sweet spot of Canon rangefinders. 35mm viewfinder, solid body and fine finder.

She looks like a great addition to your family of cameras.

Well done.
