Temptation

I met up with RFF member Vik this morning, and the 50 Lux changed hands. Vik came with a new RD-1s and Canon 0.95. I played around and took a couple of shots with the Epson-Lux combo, and I have to say I am seriously tempted by the camera.

Vik's a senior surgical resident at Yale, so his schedule is horrible - but I hope you find time to post some summilux pics soon, Vik.

Thanks.

I've been tempted by the RD-1 a few times. Then I read about the headache stories... but when you get a good sample you're fine.

Be strong.

Nah, buy two, send me one 😀

Yes, we have to get Vik out to a CT RFF meeting at some point. And reading between the lines, I am sure Ray is happy his resident days are behind him.

Yeah, a fall leaf-peeping shoot would be a nice chance to shoot in color.

I should be able to get out the next few weekends if we plan ahead. I will check with the boss and see what is coming up on the calendar to be sure I haven't missed anything.

I have only driven up your side of the Portland bridge once or twice, to Marlborough and East Haddam. Seems pretty, especially the part of town near the lake. Any good local places for some fall shooting?

There is a nice trek out east, Route 169, Route 12, Route 14, I will have to look at a map but we can find something. Maybe meet early for a photo trip in the AM and be home to the kids in the afternoon. That will keep the wives happy.

This is beginning to sound very interesting, especially since I anticipate this will be quite different from the kind of photography I usually do. 🙂

Can I take my Hassy?

Heh. I was thinking along the same lines -- tripod.

Another cool thing to do in the future would be some chinatown street photography. Too bad the closest thing would probably be all the way in Boston, but that would be a good excuse for another road trip. 😉
