a last minute present showed up in the mail yesterday…
from tenba, the new cooper 13 camera bag.
initial impression is highly favourable…it looks like a very classy but equally understated bag…it has some really nice small touches and for it's size i think it will hold a ton of gear…i plan on putting it through it's paces for a user review over the next week or so.

set up the tenba this evening...used 2 dividers and put 2 lenses on the floor of the bag with 2 bodies with lenses attached on top of the other 2 lenses...fits well. everything that i had in the f6 fits...extra batteries, sd cards, business cards...and my iPad mini easily fits into the slightly padded, zippered pocket provided for it. the mini does not fit in the f6.
tomorrow, i'll take it out for a walk and check for comfort and ease of use.

I've read somewhere that those Tenbas suffer from a bit of banding at higher ISOs.

Joe, I can't remember if you tried out the ThinkTank Retrospective bags. If so, I'd be interested in hearing how you thing the Tenba compares to those.

tenba vs think tank…seems about equal quality and the cooper looks as good if not better than the tt retro (which are fine looking bags)…tenba has less fiddly pockets and not as thick padding. the cooper is refined looking, could easily be used as a day bag/business bag…the large insert comes right out of the bag and there is o velcro holding it in…not like it could ever fall out though…speaking of velcro…the cooper bag has 2 patches of velcro that hold the top flap in place but if you pull the flap down a bit and lift up/outwrads the velcro releases without a sound…best of both worlds!

i think slim compared to the bigger bags in the cooper line…next size up is for dslr gear…the slim is for mirrorless…or rangefinders i would think too.

been carrying the cooper 13 around for this week...not much shooting done but i'm getting a pretty good feel for the bag...and it feels good.
it's like a very classy domke 803...i met a friend for coffee and she was quick to pick up on it's looks. it carries a fair bit of kit and if you ever used and were happy with the 803 i think this would be a good choice for you.

next phase...i'll be carrying the cooper around as my day bag, with odds and ends in there along with one body and 2 lenses...feels not too heavy so far...
up to this point the tenba feels like the new upscale domke bags but not quite as expensive.

i promise that pics will be coming soon...

as of today i am still very impressed with the tenba cooper bag!
it has formed a nice curve around my robust side (stomach) and fits so comfortably...the outside is very classy with it's brushed fabric...
i believe it is definitely worth the price!
