terraclime 100 users

maybe this is already common knowledge but the domke short inserts fit perfectly inside the lowepro terraclime 100 bags.

i just got one to use as a nice lightweight day bag (yeah, another one) and had thought about using the insert from the oskar (clone) bag i have but then thought about the domke inserts.
one body with lens attached and 2 other lenses, fits great, light weight and a nice long strap to wrap over my shoulder.

could you indicate the insert model number? i also have a terraclime and would enjoy a little more protection than what the "cover" provides. thanks.

i have no idea...

but it's the inserts that fit into the f6 bag. they cll them the short inserts. i have a 4 section one that came with the f6 and i bought a 2 section one that fits into the terraclime 100 as well as the f6.

thanks for the link! are you using both the single and double to hold what you listed?

i'm using a 2 section (double) insert. in the terraclime it sits to one end, with lenses in it and the body + lens sits on the floor of the bag, next to the insert.
i'll take a pic after work today and show it.

As usual Joe has influenced my buying habits yet again. I just got hold of a slightly used Terraclime 100 for £17 here in the UK. Only problem I have now is finding some inserts. The Domke one that Joe uses is another £30 here!

i'm flattered sir.

i just bought a second one myself. i also got a single domke insert but this one seems a bit taller, so i cut it shorter and used duct tape to seal the edges. works a treat.
the inserts here are about 20 bucks. i could order one and send it to you. cheaper than 30 pounds no?

Thanks for the offer Joe. $20 = around £12.50. A fair saving but the problem is, as I've mentioned before, improrting gear from outside the EU means that UK Customs charges are incurred, often making the 'bargain' very expensive. Think I'll have to shop around a bit more first, but I'll keep you,re offer in mind. Thanks again.

i used black marker on the word lowepro but the square patch doesn't bother me so i left it.

Thanks for sharing this "trick", I will be getting an insert for the Terraclime 100 myself. The 4-compartment insert (listed as FA-246 on the tiffen website) is twice as wide as a 2-compartment one, does it fit well too? Would an M body fit inside one compartment leaving three others to lenses and small stuff? If so is there any reason for preferring a 2-compartment insert?

the 4 compartment is too big for the terraclime 100. i use a 2 compartment and i just got a 1 compartment insert as well.
the 2 compartment works well for one body plus lens plus 2 more lenses.
the 1 compartment works well for 2 bodies with lenses and a 3rd lens in the insert.
