That's it! I'm designing and building my own film processor.

Tony what price point are you contemplating for these units. Would they be kits you'd assemble?

The price target is $300 (and it looks attainable right now).

The kit will be assembled by the end user from a few custom items purchased through a group buy, and the balance will be off the shelf parts. (the $300 includes everything).

I am 100% in. I have cobbled up a multi part processor that requires way too much human intervention! I think the $300 to $500 price point is perfect.

Count me in and PM if I cna help in any way

thanks for moving on this idea

I'm interested so put my name on "the list".

Regarding fabrication, I'll throw out one idea. Use the concept of a Jobo lift model, and use Paterson tanks with magnets on the bottoms. Snap the magnet to the motor and it's the same concept as the Jobo

I know a friend who 'built his own' using a water heater with thermostat to maintain constant temperature during the processing so that part is commercially available. Its not too far from the rest of the kit, a water holding tank and slots for maintaining chemicals at constant temperature.. et voila!
