This must surely be shot through the lens assembly on time lapse perhaps on a micro 4/3?

Translation of the artist's description:

this movie was shot with an Olympus Pen EE2. between days 18 and 30 December 2010. Kodak in 5205 and 250d VISION2 500t VISION3 5219.filmada entirely in madrid.

I would imagine he shot using a tripod and spun that little thumb-wheel as fast as he could. Likely 72 shots per scene. I think with enough practice, you could probably shoot 4-5 frames per second with the short wind of the half-frame?
