An aside, I leave for Luanda, Angola in couple of weeks, so I could get the camera to Africa. I also have a trip planned in June.

Is that cheating, taking it on a trip?

This is sort of like a geocaching travel bug...

Make the time with the camera a bit more elastic. Those of us who go to work in the dark & go home in the dark need weekends for photos. If the weather is crap the first weekend, we may need the next weekend for shooting. On the other hand, if the photo gods and the sun are smiing, a person could get the camera on Friday, shoot Sat & Sun, send the camera off on Monday.

A bit of flexibility would be nice.
