Great thread with nice pictures! I'm more obsessed with fly fishing (and fly tying) than photography. Just gotten into rangefinders - so no fish pictures yet. And it'll probably be months until I get out. Winter sucks... :bang:

With two small kids I don't get out to fish nearly as much as I'd want to, but when I do it's usually with dry flies and bamboo. Got the rod for my 30th birthday, here's one of the first trouts I caught with it.

I was in banking long enough to tie my own ties. I have a friend who ties the flys I use on the end of my line, out the tip of my Orvis.

Brad i love the last photo of the bobins.
Ive been fly fishing for almost 15 years now. Started when i was 10 with my dad.
I tend to fish the highland streams. 6" of water 6' wide sight fishing all the way for me. I can't think of anything better then watching a fish take your fly in crystal clear water in a some amazing place off the beaten track.
I dont tend to take a camera with me when im out. Well anything that is of the quality i would like but since getting into film in the last year i can see a small compact in my vest more and more.
Ill have to did up some images.

I love fly fishing, but I'm still a lousy caster. Fun though. Could use your friends helps to fix my casting issues.

I've been fishing since I was old enough to carry a rod to the water, and fly fishing for the past 6-7 years. Coincidentally, fly fishing is what brought me into photography...though often I find that I have to make a conscious decision to focus on one or the other while I'm out, and I usually end up with either a day full of fishing, with 3-4 frames to show for it, or a full memory card (or rolls of film), with precious little fishing. For this reason, I usually take more photos when I'm fishing with friends.
Here's a few of my shots from the past few seasons:

Yes, I did, thank you...but sadly, being a caregiver whilst surviving strokes, botched surgeries and such, I haven't even had time to visit the forum, much less fish.😡
I would go in a second if I had someone to relieve me for a few hours!

I'm not far from you...just east of Pittsburgh. Lots of beautiful streams up your way.

Definitely check it out when you get the chance. They even have a small section dedicated to photography. I'm not from anywhere near GA, but I originally showed up there for the photography talk, and stuck around for the community. Obviously, like any forum, it has it's drawbacks, and since it's not a local site, I find it easier to go weeks/months without visiting...but I always keep tabs on it and check it out when I feel so inclined.
