The beach at Kokanee Park, British Columbia lies along Kootenay Lake and forms a huge sand bar that allows long walks well out into the water. The shore also supports marshes, wetlands and a Salmon spawning stream, famous for a lake locked species locally nicknamed "Red Fish". I made this photo at the end of February on Rollei Retro 80 with a Leica M4-2 and CV 28mm Ultron.
In my narrow world there are only two beach places to go: Mexico and Southern California. I liked Panama' but that was because of the beer, cooking over a fire, and the shark nets and some guy with guitar singing while every body else was cooking, and a grandmother dancing with her grandson.
This is really nice. This place has personal meaning for me. Can't put it into words; it just has soul. Magical. Thank you for sharing. I must get back there soon; I live only 3 hours away. Funny how life gets in the way, and next thing you know you've not been to your favorite place in a few years.
