I am very fond of this lucky catch one day looking south from the Washington side of the Columbia to Oregon. It was with an M9 and IIRC the Canon 28mm f/2.8. I love that lens.
Oh, OK, the pilings. There were salmon processing buildings there before Bonneville Dam ended the runs of 40 - 80 pound salmon. The story here is that the salmon were so abundant that you could walk across the river on their backs. No more.
