The beginning of my Lima, Peru reportage...

Wonderful - many standout images there, but somehow the one that does it for me is the van (bus?) parked on the road with the sole woman walking away.

Of course, the woman with the chickens is a highlight too... as is the older woman in the doorway, the boy with the soccer ball... etc.

This one reminds me of something Anton Corbijn said, to the effect of "you really can't beat a good wall as a background". In the book U2 by U2.

Wonderful photo BTW.

Thanks again for the comments. Sometimes I go crazy trying to find a visually interesting way to present a person. This was simple and fast...it was a child portrait. At the time, I worried about the framing looking like a dead-center "firing squad" look. The images has grown on me too...mostly by the strength of the subject's face and expression.

6 years since I was in Peru,
I had my Nikon FE with colour film (negative not slide)
and it is interesting to see the monochrome images you posted

Your very first shot of the inside of the vehicle is similar to some
of mine so it brought back memories, also the fish seller and the
images of the fish to my mind is better than the chicken's image

next time I go - I'll bring some black and white film and try that also.
