Of the 5 most recent shots on my flickr page, three where taken with the Heliar (the other two from the 35PII). All from the first roll I shot. Tri-X in D76 processed at home and scanned on a cheap flat bed. Link is below if you're interested. Planning to shoot another roll this weekend.

The pictures in my Equinox-Album were all taken with the 50/1,5 and I like the character of this lens very much. They look great to me! I even commented that they looked sharp. The Heliar seems a little lower in contrast, but pretty close otherwise. Good examples of both lenses. BTW, one way to add a contact in Flickr: click on the person's icon to get a drop-down list Add as Contact is in that list.

Thanks, Ray. I'm glad they look alright on the web. I agree that the Heliar seems less contrasty than the PII, but I can't say much more until I shoot a few more rolls. Thanks for tip on adding contacts.

Hi Chris -- Several RFF'ers have the only CV single-coated lens, the 40 Nokton SC. I didn't deliberately choose an SC version, it just happened to be what was offered me used. I don't have the MC version to compare, but I gather the differences between the two are subtle. Here are a couple of shots with my Nokton SC, and whether they show any attribute of the single-coating I'll leave for you to decide.

i also have a 40 Nokton SC and find it is much better at mono shots than colour (hard to explain but the bright and strong blues just seem 'off'). but it's an interesting characteristic. i do love it and spends a large amount of time on both my r-d1 & my bessa bodies (these film bodies i shoot exclusively mono).
a lens that i truly love for mono due to the contrast (and the cool vignetting on the r-d1 body) is the skopar 28 3.5. despite claims in another thread, i find it very useful with the LH-1 hood on the r4a

the 35MM F1.2 beast is the best for B&W PERIOD!
why? it is the fastest lens, so it has the most versitility

BTW, I'm using the 40 Nokton on a Minolta CLE where it feels right at home. Just to be contrary, here are a couple of color shots with that combo. No bright/strong blues though...
I've got my Nokton 40 on the CLE, too, a sweet pairing. Speaking of pairing, the two images you attached make a good pair (intentional?).
