Finally finished, been working on it on and off for two or three years it feels odd now, I'm not sure what I'll do with my time.

This is the paperback version.

I also did a big glossy coffee-table one too ...

... the Blurb service is pretty good, and it supports PDF one doesn't have to use their clunky software, but they still don't support colour management.

All the photography was RF, CV and Leica lenses on film

I wish you great success with this Stewart ... where's my copy though?

Emma Chisset?

:)

Looks very good, Stewart!
What program did you use for the PDFs? I have to agree about the "clunky" Booksmart program!

I just used Photoshop and uploaded jpeg's into their software, when I started they didn't support pdf. I found Adobe RGB (1998) the best profile if that's any help.

Thanks joe, that's appreciated

I like how the table top version syncs with your Mac. Neat trick!

Seriously, congrats. I can never get a unified theme together for a similar effort, so I know it's not easy.

Dear Stewart,

Congratulations, and a tiny grammatical cavil. Shouldn't it the 'The book wot I writ'?

Cheers,

R.

Not sure … that bit didn’t go to the editor, the whole malarkey is harder than it looks isn’t it?

Which reminds me I must credit RichC for editing and the translation it into my native language, a huge help

A couple of years ago a young Lady Friend writed "writed". Language evolves, you know. Someone, I forget who, said, "I don't need to follow the dictionary -- people like me make the dictionary."

looks good, congrats!

Thanks joe

You handle gloves with a button rewind M2, kid?

I do get a bit of ribbing for being a bit careful, but no they just get used normally the gloves just happened to be there.

Ha ... yep looks like that doesn’t it, I should have taken more care with the pack-shot really. You could always adapt/steal someone else’s theme that’s what I usually do

Looks good! How do you get a signed copy?

When I'm rich and famous I'll do a signing at that Barns and Noble on 7th avenue

Oh yes, English has been hovering up words for centauries, most pundits would agree ;)

Very nice Stewart. I particularly like the mix of B&W and color. Some people agonize over picking one or the other. Perhaps some treatments call for that, but they can coexist side by side, as you've shown.

Thanks, the layout was easy, they have lots to choose from in Waterston’s I was inspired by one I saw there. I had already decided that shots that were part of the narrative would be colour and the B/W the “arty”

The idea being that B/W is neutral in a colour sense so it will not clash with its background so I could safely take them out to the edge of the page whatever colour they were viewed against later. The same would not be true of the colour shots so they need a good size white border.
