hi all,
new to the forum, although i have been watching in the wings for a while. finally purchased an x-pan2 just before THE announcement, so much for photographers timing!
i have taken the plunge and submitted some of my work, its is refreshing to see so many people taking time out to help others for no gain!!!
happy snapping,

Although I do not own an X-Pan, I would like to welcome you to the forum Nick. 🙂

For the most part, the folks here are helpful and friendly. As with any forum, it can get quite heated in debate but the one thing I think you'll find with this forum compared to "other" places online is that the tone here can be heated but civil. It's the last bastion of such places imho 🙂

Welcome aboard 🙂

Dave

hi,
thanks for all your welcome notes, i have no project in mind, just getting out and about when i can and try to produce images that can be put on the gallery, of which i feel the standard being produced by the members is very high indeed and gives inspiration to pick up camera and film and get out!!

Hi nick,

welcome to the forum, agree with everything that has been said. This has been ever so helpful to me especially b4 i decided to buy my xpan2 (i was scared with the outlay lol)...

Anywayz, i just checked out your images. great stuff!!! my favourite is "stairs"... just proves there is so much more to this camera than landscape.
Keep up the good work... you have just inspired me 🙂

One thing about these galleries - at least they don't keep blanking out their pictures. Have you ever gone on www.photofile.ru? It's supposedly a website that people post their pictures to. But as often as not, they then turn around and "password protect" their postings. And you never saw so many babies. As a retired teacher, I'm well aware that every parent thinks his/her kid is the axis the world turns on. (Read the current issue of TIME for an interesting article on siblings. Typical psychologist diggings.)

So I enjoy these galleries. At least there is a variety of subjects.

hi,
i agree also its refreshing not to be like other forums that I wont be visiting again after reading some of the the negative, if not rude ,responses from other photographers about their images..... 'if you have nothing constructive or helpfull... say nothing' wouldnt go amiss,

happy snapping,
nick
