(not my photo)

I inherited a Hanimex 35 AFX from my grandmother. It works like a charm! On this camera, there are two buttons (excluding opening the rear door). 1) shutter release button, and 2) pop-up flash.

The only thing one needs to do, remove lens cover, aim and shoot! The camera is electrically driven, and advances the film itself. When fully exposed, it rewinds it all the way, except for a few cm of film leader. ISO-speed is automatically taken care of (DX), and the meter decides when to use the flash: a small red light switches on by half pressing the shutter. What could possibly go wrong using such a camera for family snaps and family memories?

It's a little limited in when one can use it, though. Not a very good evening camera, unless you're flashing people close to the camera.

Still, the negs came out wonderful! Contrasty and rich. I used "standard" development, as per massive dev chart for a Delta 100 pro film. I'm headed down to cut, inspect, and store later today.

What a lovely camera! Easier to use than any digital camera I've encountered, I dare say.
