The Ethics of Storytelling? Reconsidering Humans of New York

So I worked with the guy doing the same as HONY in my town at some point for a little bit, he asked me to contribute. And I did until I got bored. Anyway, the moral here... Some of the "stories" he used for some photographs were completely made up, as people in the portraits failed to provide a cool story. I am not saying HONY does the same, but consider it a possibility too 🙂 I really didn't read the article because I am not interested in it. Just wanted to share the experience.

Just a thought as I'm reading through it.

"He presents raw emotions"

He doesn't though, one of my biggest disconnects is that its so sterile and there's a disconnect between dull photos and potentially interesting stories.
