What's the deal with, 'Film never die'? They're kidding right? Look at the prices on ebay for film. Not to mention the postage! What an absolute gouge!

Check out their second hand camera prices. Some of their film is reasonably priced if you're shopping in person and want it now.

How do they justify that? Cashing in on Hipsters?
Excellent film is available here for only $6 a roll.

Chris is the absolute KINDEST! Too kind if you ask me, I was with him a short time watching what he did and helping out a little, every customer that walked in got his full attention and generosity. He even ended up giving some old equipment away just to help them out getting back into film! these guys were generally older folk too. Free sample rolls to the youngsters myself included
A real honest good bloke I should really contact him and get back there again now that I'm not working full time any more.

I think that's largely it. The store has a coffee machine and barista. I mean, things cost what the market bears so if he's successful all power to him.
I've seen blanconegro but I've been sticking with ilford purely on reputation and that vanbar (local so no post) had a 3 rolls for ~$23 deal for a while. When that ended I bought a bulk roll which I'm hoping ends up similar in cost per roll. I should probably give foma a go but I've heard it's not quite as good and doesn't push as well. Also it's not that cheap unless buying a bunch at once due to post.

Just give it a try you may be surprised. Chris has convinced me, just waiting to go through all my current film stock and paper first
Foma a small company dedicated solely to film unlike Ilford, so we gotta help them out to stick around! Everything made goes back into film/paper production and R&D unlike some other manufacturers..

I've shot a lot of FP4 and HP5 over the years and more recently due to a couple of 30m cans in the fridge. Lately though I've been using Foma 200 and it is every bit as good as those films, especially in Foma LQN dev. (have a look at the thread on Foma films).
I do agree though that the company lacks a good 'pushing' film.
