20 years ago I got my first useful Polaroid, a 180, in a box of gear that I bought for $50. The only problem is a broken glass cover in the viewfinder. I used it and had fun then put it away for a while. 5 years ago I picked up a 195 at an estate sale for $10 in mint condition. I still have about 20 FP3000 and about 10 FP100 packs in the fridge but with Fuji dumping pack film I wonder if I run out what would those cameras be good for? Does anyone know of any projects to maybe adapt cut film adapters or some other possible use? Maybe I should bundle them up with the film I have and sell them off?

Just thinking out loud........

Chamonix made a interesting mod they called the “Saber”

Very limited run, each one was basically custom and I don’t think I’ve seen three with the same lens either. Uses 4x5

I would be happy with a 4x5 film conversion. Maybe ending up with the two of them is a cosmic thing. Possibly one for traditional peel apart and another for 4x5. I am quite interested in the One Instant. Thanks for the link.

I have used a Polaroid 180 with 16-exp 3.25x4.25" Tri-X filmpacks. One just slides the Kodak filmpack into an empty Polaroid pack to keep it in place, works fine... if you can find the film! Fine camera too...

I have an old Polaroid 230 that I got used for $40, that was 47 years ago! Incredible how time flies. I think I have at least one pack of film for it in the fridge, but it's ancient. I don't expect to use it again. :(

I've given away all my related films. Basically, time to admit it is a dead format.

Paperweights or Experiments.

I still have some pack film, but when it runs out, I'm not sure what I'll do with my 190. A 4x5 conversion may be the eventual answer.

Maybe dying, but not dead, imo. My film stock might outlast me and my cameras. Cameras for sure. Just been developing my film from my last trip and it's still exciting to open the canister and see what I have in way of images.

As for my Polaroid camera ( I think it's a 440 ), I have four boxes left. After that I'll move on.
