... and with all the chat about Fujica v. M in Zack's thread below, I thought I'd post one from the first roll here.

As I said in my post in the Fuji forum, it's pretty nice to work with, though the long-travel, high-effort release is very un-Leica, and the RF patch is pretty small. It's also extremely unsubtle: but there aren't too many times that one is trying to be discreet with a MF camera, anyway.

Here's what happens when you push Efke R25 four stops (something that the manufacturers clearly never envisioned.) f3.5 @ 1/15.

Looking very good, Merciful! I like that she seems to exist partly in the dark and partly in the light. And it looks like the film has very low red-sensitivity, or as if a blue or cyan filter were used...

Yeah you get some weird looks with that camera, ive also had numerous people ask me if its digital or not. The rf patch is small but, it is nice and bright, the only problem is speed, even f 3.5 isnt that fast , all things considered i really like it, just cause the prints look so good.

Thanks, guys. Gotta be on the edge; it's no fun anywhere else.

I wish, Doug, that it had taken a lot less PS work to get this one where it is, but the R25 really didn't take to push and it was way under. Or perhaps the start time I used was bad, but in any case, it was way under. That's a good point about the filter look: I didn't realise 'til now it looks a lot like the blue channel of a digital shot.
