I currently have an M3 with a 35mm summaron with goggles. It's a pain to put in the pocket sometimes and I love spontaneous shots. Is it worth it to track down an M2 with a non goggled summaron? I can hardly find anything these days.

I think the improved viewfinder clarity, the lesser weight and bulk that an M2 with Summaron 35mm has over an M3 with goggled Summaron are indeed very powerful reasons to change.

It obviously depends on your style and preferences of shooting, obviously. I do mostly street/indoor reportage, 99% with a 35mm (or equivalent) FL, so my choice if I'dbe in your shoes would be rather simple.

Cheers

it was around 600-850$ for the non-goggled summaron about 3-4 months ago. I am not sure about now.

I just got an M2 earlier today, I think it'll be good business. Also, I think I might just get a f/3.5 summaron instead of the newer one. They're small for pockets 😛
