I have recently bought a GXR with the A12 M-mount and thought I would share a few images from this weekend. I bought a second hand Voigtlander Ultron 28/2 in excellent condition which which was used for these images.
I find the GXR to be a terrific no-nonsense camera and truly living up to my expectations. I have previously used a Nikon D700 (which I still own) and was looking for a camera more likely to come along when going for a walk. I was also interested in trying out M-glass with a camera with a 'dedicated' M-sensor! So there really was no reachable option to the GXR...!
The Ultron is a joy to use with the smooth focusing and very usable field of view. I think 50 can sometimes be to narrow and 35 a bit on the wide side. 28mm on the GXR is of course equivalent to 42mm. However I need to work on nailing focus!
The images are nothing special but I was amazed by the colors and sharpness which I guess can be contributed to the lack of AA-filter and Voigtlander optics. Just light contrast enhancement in Lightroom.
All images taken in Sollentuna, just north of Stockholm where is autumn is coming along right now.
