Hey, Flinor, aren't you inflating your inventory here... ;)

Just kidding.

Now, is the Contax T a rangefinder?
Why did you sell your M6? I want one!!!:(
Same applies for the CL, but I don't want one that bad...
Is the Canon P metered? If I'm not mistaken, that's the one that looks like the Leica M-series, right?

I'm green with envy... :)

Actually, Francisco, I think I may have missed a couple. Everything's packed away for a week while the house gets recarpeted and painted. And I did forget 4 Yashicas that I just sold in a garage sale. M, MII Minister and a J.

The Contax T is a rangefinder with a fixed, collapsing 38mm 2.8 Zeiss T* lens and a detacheable side mount flash like the Olympus XA. The rangefinder patch is diamond shaped like some of the Yashicas. It dates to about 1980 I think. It has a weak film transport but otherwise is a little gem.

I sold the M6 and the CL because I found myself using the CLE and M5 much more often. The CL went only because a friend kept asking me to sell it to him and he finally caught me at a weak moment.

The Canon P is not metered. It does look a little like am M but in a few ways was ahead of Leica for it's time (1958). It has a 1:1 viewfinder/rangefinder, rewind crank and an opening back. Very nice camera to use.

Gerry

Gerry,

If I insist enough, then, would you sell me one of your treasures?

Just kidding.

Thanks for the clarification on the Contax T and the Canon P. I've been curious about the latter ever since I found out about them in the Steve Gandy's website. They go for pretty high prices, though... That was unexpected to me. Good luck unpacking stuff. Think of it as an advance on the Xmas fun!

And the winner is.... Flinor! :)

Funny..I've been looking at the Canon P for some time now as well... Good looking camera and seems to be a capable user as well... We'll see....

And no, I don't use them all regularly, I'm ashamed to say. I've collected cameras for 30 years and have approx. 400+ so there's only so much time. Favourites: Zorki, Bolseys, Argus, Petris and Yashicas.

My-oh-my... I'm feeling dizzy... and very, very small...

Now, Curt, did you recite the list from memory or did you have to go through your stash, or is it you have a nicely written list in your computer?

Quite an impressive herd you've got. But there's a small, big gap: I don't see a Canonet G-III QL17 in your list. You have two of the 19 and two of the 25 kind (which, I must admit, are not seen often), but not one of the little jewels the 17s were in their time.

And still keep going strong!

JK. Congrats!! :)

WOW! Interesting - and amazing collection...
Why no Olympus 35RC/RD/SP/SPn/UC?
I would have thought that at least one of them would have found their way into that amazing collection :)

And, gotta love that Yashica 35 GSN you have listed there. Good user camera.

OK, here goes, but it won't top the first posting.

Leica M4-2, three lenses (1983-85)
Minolta SRT-101 (1970)
Minolta SRT-102 (1974)
Minolta X-700 (1985)
Minolta Maxxum 7 (2002)
Olympus Stylus 140 (2002)
Yashicamat 124 TLR (1970)

I also have various lenses for the two types of Minoltas.

Then there is a Welta 35mm folding camera of probably pre -World War II vintage. But it's solid as a brick, has an f2 Schneider lens, and still works.

And speaking of a brick, I have one of those, too. Do I HAVE to mention the make? Found it at an antique store a while back. They wanted $20 for it, so I couldn't resist. It's sitting on my mantle, and I haven't tried film in it yet. Since I can remember when they were 'everyman's' 35, it's a nice reminder of how many years have gone under the bridge.
