Hello,

I noticed that there are a whole lot of iFeds of various models appearing in Red, purple, grey and cyan skins on ebay. Does anyone know if they're all customized and if they work? Or am I mistaken and were the Soviets who produced these cameras back in the 70s really savvier with their camera colour schemes than I thought they might have been?

Because I'd love to get one, you know, for only 25USD. I think a grey one would go very well with my stonewashed levis.

Thanks for the link. I am amazed, though, that neither the Japanese nor Germans of that particular period of history seem to have experimented with their colour schemes, apart from several limited edition runs of unique Leicas.

I can remember Hasselblad having a go at different skins. Red, yellow, green, blue IIRC. I don't think they sold many, other than the black. I can't imagine that any pro photog who wants to be taken serious by his customers and peers, willingly buys a green Hassy or a _gold covered Leica_. 😛
