It arrived. Minus the battery. So after a little bit of education it seems that I need hearing aid batteries with aluminum foil?

Also, it looks like the focus is off kilter vertically. Can I correct that?

Also, the film speed knobby thing is really stiff, can I loosen that up or is that the way life is so deal with it?

Other than that, the camera is really clean, better than expected from an ebay auction. Obviously, I haven't run any film through it but so far the Yashica MG-1 is favourite over this for useability.

We'll see.

film speed lever has a friction band in it, usually works better if I push down on it as I'm adjusting.

There are several replacements for the 625 battery, including ordering them as is from varta, or getting a wein air cell, or an adapter (like the MR9 from CrisCam).

You have so many work-arounds that it boggles the mind. Search here or Google.

Uh-huh, on the GIII there is an adjustment behind a little plug in the back. I'm not sure on the non-GIII models, however.

How are the light seals?

Seals look good but maybe a bit gluey to the touch. I'll runa roll through it once I get a battery to check.

I can't find the fous adjustment behind the plug on the back, can somebody point me in the right direction?

If the seals are tacky, they need replacing. Jon Goodman is the man. One of his seal kits is about $6 and is enough for several cameras. He is a member here and is "Interslice" on eBay
