The Konica Hexanon 60/1.2, Limited Edition.

Great. Now I want one even more.

:D

Great review, thanks for putting it up. Guess I will be reading it at least 20+ more times, as I did with Yanidels...!

Thanks a lot for sharing. Truly a rare and interesting lens :) Also care to share how much you got it for? A ballpark price would be great.

Thanks!

I discuss the going rate on this lens in my article, and mine was no exception. Although I purchased it 6 months ago, it came in mint condition with the box and all of the Konica accessories.

Thanks again,

Peter.

Wow~! I just bought a Konica 50mm f1.2 yesterday. I am also looking for this lens for a long time.....

The 50/1.2 has interested me for a long time too... it looks like a really nice lens.

Flickr 上 KEVIN is listening Begin......Konica Hexar RF Titanium Konica M-Hexanon 50mm f1.2 [2001 set Limited Edition]

I find Konica 50 1.2 is also a very good choice. The most important point is it is original M-mount which can be easily use on Konica RF or any kinds of M-body. I am satisfied with my Konica 50 1.2 and sure it will also bring a lot of fun to me. Just trust me,ALL Konica M-mount lens are in highly built quality.

As its price skyrockets to this level, Konica 60 1.2 going far away from me...... Best luck everyone.....

Thanks for that review Peter. Your photos are WONDERFUL!

Have you coded your 60 Hex? If yes, what did you code it as?

Cheers

Helen

Helen, thank you very much for your kind words!

Like Steve, I do NOT code my 60 Hex. And like Steve, I settled on a Leitz LTM-to-M adapter to improve focus accuracy. I was using a generic one until then and my Hex was back-focusing quite a bit with distant objects (but was accurate with near-to-mid objects).

Sorry for the late reply... the holidays are in full swing here!

Wow that is a remarkable lens, I'm full of envy, it has a distinct characteristic which imho is very unique.. Thank you for sharing.

Btw, does it actually say limited on the lens along with the serial number xxx/xxx?

Interesting.

Probably only lens that is faster then F/2 (in some cases F/1.4) that I'd consier using because it is so damn small actually for being so fast, interesting.

Interesting.

People actually love or hate the bokeh. I agree with you however, the lens is undeniably a one-of-a-kind gem that renders in a unique way. I happen to love the way it draws the intended subject (in focus) and mostly love the bokeh, with few exceptions. And yes, for such a fast lens, it's relatively "small" in size.

The 60/1.2 is such a cool lens. I'd love to own one, but I think the price will keep me from ever owning one, which is a real shame.
