The last one left

Phantomas, I've no intention to interfere with your happiness, but last time I walked into Casanova - a pro photoshop here in Barcelona - they had another new S3 collecting dust on a shelf. Maybe this post make's somebody else happy. They're not cheap, though, so you are warned!

S3 2000 - a beatiful camera and a good shooter!
I bought one some time back (from Jon M if I do not remember wrong) and have used it a lot since I got it!

I just got to scanning the first two rolls off the camera. Is this lens for real? As the images pop off the scanner I have to stop myself from licking the cream off the monitor. The lens (1.4/50) is indeed GOOD!
I'll post some results soon enough.
:)

PS: I like how it handles portraits. Seems to be a flattering lens.

Congrats for the acquisition mate, it's a very sweet camera! I imagine how delightful should have been finding it, opening the box for the first time, loading your first roll... The S3 is a serious shooter, and I'm so glad you are giving it the proper use it deserves. Cheers!

Done scanning and developing the first couple of films. I'm impressed, to say the least, it was pleasure to handle and shoot and it is pleasure to see the results, at least for me.
I've got quite a few nice shots off the first rolls, but these are just the first few I've managed to scan.
Once again, I'll need to pay attention to DOF of this lens but when I manage to focus well at full aperture - oh-la-la!

Nice shots Phantomas. The first one with the bicycle is nice. And the one in the boulangerie.

The big brother of the 50 seems to be on time. :)

great! you are not one of those people who wont shoot a pretty camera like that... if i were to have one, ill shoot with it every single time.. the same applies even if i have a leica.. or even if its the original black leica mp.. it is pretty alright, it is pretty when you look at it, sitting on a shelf or keep it in its box.. but its more beautiful loaded with film in front of your face...

congratulations! im drooling over here!

Guys, I don't mean it's the last one available on the market :) Rather it's the last one available from Nikon. That's it, none left to supply to the distributiors (unless one more is hiding somewhere unclaimed).

Oh I see. I'll get one myself, perhaps a used one, sometime soon. :)
