The Leica bug bites again

I haven't bought anything remotely resembling a Leica in around 3 years till this evening. I made the mistake of visiting the KEH website and spotted a IIIf BD that was calling out to me. 😀😀😀 It will be here Wednesday... 😛😛😛

I've had a lonely Elmar laying around doing nothing so I decided the two would make a nice couple...

Absolutely. You had to get it. Otherwise you would have been misusing & abusing a perfectly good Elmar. Good for you.

I like the idea of a compact camera.. The Elmar makes a fine pocketable kit with the IIIf.

I've been feeling guilty about neglecting the Elmar.. But no more..... 😉 😉

Must say I never really understood the appeal of screw Leicas... until a few weeks ago when I put a roll through a friend's IIIf. Just great. Felt superb in the hand and rock solid. Sure it's a bit slower than an M, but a great experience. I am on the lookout... ;-)

KEH is probably your best bet. They are less expensive than eBay and you can return or exchange if it isn't to your liking..
