the m3 is done - it is purple (or maybe grape)

day 2...

i have seen it in the sunshine and i still love it.

i brought it to work to show a few folks and they love it too!!

i'm thinking about doing the p and the zi and having my own signature series.

too bad i can't do the lenses...😉

Well, Pamela was gonna come, but it's difficult to get a good picture of her...her face always seems to be outside the DOF for some reason.....
I got you McCartney instead, he's going to do 'Ebony and Ivory' for you....

Hello:

Lenses are possible 1949-1963 Elmar, 1964-1968 Elmar, 1959-1974 Elmarit 90mm and the 1954-1960 135mm Hektor as well as the 1960-1965 135mm Elmar all have Vulcanite rings.

That would be quite a "signature series" -- body and vulcanite rings of the lenses in matching colors skins...
It could start a trend and RFFers become instantly recognizable on the "outside" - each time we have an old body to recover, we select our favorite skin of choice and do the lenses too. ( personal prefs.)

nice job on the recovering.

I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to camera coverings - I still prefer the classic black vulcanite body, however even I must admit that the 'grape' snakeskin looks cool....... 😀
